Usage FAQs
Step 1: Download Driver Checker™ and click the DriverChecker.exe to install it without any delay.
Step 2: Get the serial number of Driver Checker™ here.
Step 3: Open Driver Checker, click Register, enter the serial number and click Submit.
Back to the topGenerally speaking, you can install the new Driver Checker by covering the old version.
But if you have any problem when updating Driver Checker, you can solve it by uninstalling the old version first and then install the latest version.
If you uninstall it first, you will lose your serial number in this case and please log in from http://www.driverchecker.com/register/member.php to get your codes there.
Step 1: From Start, go to programs and find out Driver Checker.
Step 2: Put your mouse above Driver Checker and move it to Uninstall Driver Checker.
Step 3. Click Uninstall Driver Checker and click OK to completely uninstall Driver Checker from your PC.
Driver Checker™ is currently compatible with Microsoft Windows™7/2000/2003/2008/XP/Vista.
There are no plans at this time to create a version compatible with the Mac, Linux, or any other non-Microsoft Operating System.
Step 1: Open Driver Checker™ and click the Start Scan button on the right side to check your driver status.
Step 2: Optional: There will be a backup hint if you haven't made a backup before the updating. Click "Yes" to backup and then update your outdated drivers automatically. Click "No" to continue the driver updating without a driver backup.
Step 3: Driver Checker™ will start scanning all your hardware devices for the outdated drivers. In seconds it will show you the report of outdated drivers with a tree diagram.
Step 4: You can click the check box to select the drivers you want to update, and then click Next to start installing new drivers.
Step 5: Click OK to finish the update.
Step 6: Click OK to reboot and make the update take effect.
Note: It is very fast to update a driver with Driver Checker. The process will be a little slow if there are a large number of drivers to update or the Network is not so good which cause the timeout. In this case, please wait for a few minutes or try it again when your network is better. Sometimes there is a prompt asking you to continue or stop the driver installation downloaded on your computer. It won't do any harm to your computer because the new driver version you are trying to install is original from the hard device manufacturer.Before using Driver Checker™, it is highly recommended to backup the existing drivers, which you can always use to recover the system drivers to the previous state.
Step 1: Click the Backup button.
Step 2: Select the drivers you want to backup and choose the destination of your backup file by clicking the Browse button, or Driver Checker will save it by default at: _\Program Files\Driver Checker\.
Step 3: Click Backup to start.
Step 4: Click OK to complete it.
In case that the drivers were broken or not compatible with the existing drivers, you can easily restore the system drivers with the backup file.
Step 1: Click the Restore button.
Step 2: Click the drivers to be restored or select them from the backup files by clicking the Browse button, or Driver Checker will use the backup files by default saved at : _:\Program Files\Driver Checker\
Step 3: Click the Restore button to continue or the Stop button to quit.
Step 4: Click OK to complete the restore.
Step 1: Click the Uninstall button.
Step 2: Select the drivers you want to uninstall from the system information column and click the Uninstall button to process.
Step 3: Click OK to complete uninstall.
Driver Checker™ provides the divers uninstall utility to remove the useless or unwanted divers completely if neededBefore using Driver Checker™, it is highly recommended to customize the settings for your personal use.
Click the Options button > Click the General tab > Click the check box “Automatically select all items after scanning. > Click Save to make your setting take effect.
Click the Options button > Click the General tab > Click the tab Check Update > Click Save to make your setting take effect.
Click the Options button > Click the Backup tab > Click the check box “Automatically select all items. > Choose the destination of your backup file > Click Save to make your setting take effect.
Click the Options button > Click the Restore / Update tab > Click the check box “Automatically reboot my computer once the process is finished. > Click Save to make your setting take effect.
To get the lost serial number back.
Use the order email or purchase number to login from http://www.cheesesoft.com/support/customer-area/member-login/ and then you will see your serial number there.
Note : It is recommended to use the copy and paste feature to complete the registration. It may cause mistake if type in the letters one by one.

Driver Checker™ is able to detect and remove certain types of Popup under the circumstance that they are caused by spyware or malware infection. Many advertising Popup are not deemed malicious and Driver Checker™ may not be able to stop them.
Generally, you can either customize automatically or manually update to process online update if there is any newer version available. When you are ready, need not rebooting your PC, Driver Checker™ should now run at the newest version.
